Welcome to Palace Acappella! We're delighted you'd like to join our choir community!

 

You just need to do 2 things, all signposted on this page:

1) read the Palace Acappella Choir Essentials below and linked Full Agreement. If you have any questions please contact Eleanor at palaceacappella@gmail.com before continuing

 

2) pay the membership fee via Stripe at the bottom of this page. You will be asked to confirm you are happy to sign the Choir Agreement at this point. 

 

Once you've done both these things:

- you will receive an email with a copy of the Choir Agreement to sign digitally. This email will come via Signable, not from the choir email address. Please check your spam and then get in touch if it doesn't arrive within 24hrs.

- once you sign this Agreement your subscriptions will be set up, you will be added to the Whatsapp announcement group and your membership will be confirmed by email.

The Essential Bits

We’re delighted you’d like to join Palace Acappella Choir and we look forward to singing together! Below are the essential details about membership. Please also read the full agreement here and get in touch before you sign if you have any questions. 

 

About us:

Palace Acappella Choir is a non-auditioned community choir in the heart of Crystal Palace. We believe that singing should be for everyone and our taster sessions are open to any adults who want to sing in a choir. We encourage fun, development, confidence-building, and a social space and network within a musical context. 

 

We aim to create a supportive and community-orientated space where everyone feels comfortable to participate in their own way. We welcome people of all backgrounds and identities and we encourage respect for each other, with no judgement on ability, and space for different learning styles. 

 

Choir members are not required to read music or to have prior experience of singing or being in a choir. However, we do ask that you engage fully during rehearsals, can work independently with the materials provided, and take personal responsibility for practising the pieces between sessions to be ready for any performances you would like to participate in.

 

If you have any access needs or adjustment needs that would help you take part please let us know and we’ll do our best to support you. 

 

What You're Paying

  • One-off membership fee, paid on joining: £40 

  • Resources pack fee, paid on joining and then every 6 months: £15 (equates to £2.50/month).

  • Monthly subscription, taken in advance on the 1st of each month: £33.

From 1st June 2026 there will be a small increase in cost to reflect inflation, as follows:

  • Resources pack fee, every 6 months, £15.51 (equates to £2.56/month). This price will update with your next resources pack payment following 1st June 2026.

  • Monthly subscription, taken in advance on the 1st of each month: £34.12. This price will update on 1st June 2026

 

If you want to leave, give us two choir month's notice by email. For example, if you cancel on 15th May, your final payment is taken on 1st July and your membership ends on 31st July.

 

What You Get

Access to:
- all choir rehearsals (online and face to face)

 - additional workshop and event opportunities, including regular collaborations with our sister choir Beckenham Acappella
- social activities
- performances and
- online resources to support learning and home practice

 

Some performances, workshops or social events may have extra costs, which will be clear upfront and you'll pay separately.

 

You Need to Know

  • We may take photos during rehearsals and performances for promotion. Please let us know if you prefer not to be photographed. 

  • Our Director is First Aid trained.

  • If circumstances outside our control (like severe weather or illness) mean we can't run a session, we'll reschedule or offer an alternative. You won't get a refund, but we'll make it up to you with extra sessions or extended membership where feasible. We'll notify you as soon as possible of any cancellation or rescheduling.

 

You Have the Right to Change Your Mind

You can cancel within 14 days of joining and receive a full refund if you've not attended any sessions or received physical materials. If you have attended or received materials, we'll deduct the direct costs from your refund. If you would like to cancel, email with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

 - If you have read The Essentials above and the Full Agreement here and are ready to sign and confirm your Palace Acappella membership, please pay the membership fee via the button below.

 - You will then receive a copy of the Palace Acappella Agreement to sign - this will come via Signable rather than from the choir email address

 

 - Once you've signed, your subscriptions will be set up and your membership confirmed. You'll receive a welcome pack with what you need to know.
